Education:
Megan K. Major graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2007. In addition to her Juris Doctorate, Ms. Major also received a Certificate of Concentration in Family Law. While in law school, Ms. Major interned at the United States Attorney's Office in Washington D.C. and was a member of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly. During her last year of law school, Ms. Major served as an Extern for the San Francisco Unified Family Court, assisting the Judges, court staff, and parties who could not afford an attorney.
Legal Practice:
Ms. Major joined MacKenzie & Associates soon after being admitted to the California State Bar in 2007. She has significant experience listening to clients in difficult situations, suggesting options, and advising clients as to their best course of action. She has also handled a wide variety of cases, including dissolutions, child custody and visitation matters, child and spousal support issues, and domestic violence cases. Ms. Major is dedicated to helping clients resolve their problems, and move forward after a difficult time in their lives.
Ms. Major is an active member of the California State Bar and Alameda County Bar Association.
